About the Lower Light Christian Health Center
Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC) is a nonprofit health center located in the Franklinton community. Now in its 11th year of operation, LLCHC exists to provide high quality whole person health care to all who need it regardless of their ability to pay. LLCHC provides hope through healthcare to over 8,000 patients, providing over 30,000 patient visits this past year. Our patient base is currently 90% underinsured or completely uninsured. Patients without insurance pay for services on a sliding fee scale based on their income. LLCHC depends on the support of private individuals, grants, and fundraisers to offset the cost of the uncompensated care we provide.
Race Proceeds - All money raised from this event will go directly toward the care of uninsured patients. Each year, LLCHC provides over $750,000 of uncompensated care. The money raised will go to help offset that cost.
