Franklinton Food and Fitness 5k

About the Event

Join the Franklinton Food and Fitness 5K and help promote healthy living in Franklinton! Franklinton is the oldest community in Ohio and is home to a diverse population that is working together to create positive change.  This 5K fundraiser will benefit the following neighborhood nonprofits:

Gladden Community House - Gladden is a settlement house that offers a broad range of social services to Franklinton, including a food pantry that serves individuals and families in the neighborhood.  Proceeds from this fundraiser will help to run Gladden's food service and youth athletic programs. Franklinton Cycleworks - Franklinton Cycleworks is a non-profit community bicycle cooperative that promotes fitness by providing a safe space for Franklinton residents to maintain their bikes. (http://franklintoncycleworks.org/)

Franklinton Gardens - Franklinton Gardens is a non-profit urban farm dedicated to growing and sharing healthy food, creating beauty in abandoned places, promoting nutrition and active living, and building community.  (http://www.franklintongardens.org/)

Franklinton faces many challenges, but these community groups are working together to foster a healthy neighborhood.  Join the Franklinton Food and Fitness 5K and be a part of the exciting changes on the near west side!
