About the 2013 Sprint For Spring
Welcome to Dwyer Chiropractic's 4th Annual 5K to support our local community. Proceeds from this event will benefit the JJ Hartley Athletic Complex at London City Schools. We hope that you will join us on this day to support a great charity and enjoy a nice run or walk.
A London area group has reinstituted the J.J. Hartley Athletic Complex board to make plans and raise funds for a field house at London High School. We have been working on raising funds since 2010.
The facility will be called the LeBeau Field House, named for London graduate Dick LeBeau, a former player and current coach in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ideas for the field house’s location and design are very preliminary. We do know the facility will house locker rooms for home and away teams, a training area, a weight room and indoor storage. It will be a multi-sport facility for all athletes to utilize.
Other ideas the group is considering for the building are a hall-of-fame tunnel or hallway that displays memorabilia and pays tribute to London’s past athletic stars for which there have been several outstanding athletes from London.
We would like to see more athletes take their skills to higher levels and have a sense of pride when they leave high school. Last year we raised $6300 for the JJ Hartley group and would love to surpass that this year.
