Columbus International 5k Run/Walk

Join the Columbus International Program and Kiwanis Columbus Club for the 2nd annual Columbus International 5k Run/Walk! Throughout the downtown Columbus course, a parade of nations will entertain and inspire runners and walkers with exhibits and entertainment from countries around the world.

Each race participant will receive a free admission ticket to the Columbus International Festival and a race T-shirt. All racers/walkers wearing an international outfit will receive a special gift and prizes will be awarded for the most creative outfit, so dress up to represent your nationality or heritage!

About the Hosts

The Columbus International Program (CIP) is a member based non-profit organization dedicated to Promoting International Understanding through Intercultural Exchange. For over 38 years we have provided opportunities for international professionals to come to Central Ohio for practical training experiences in their industry, professional development and cross-cultural exchange. Since its inception, CIP has hosted over 800 international specialists from 112 countries.

Kiwanis Club of Columbus is a global organization of member-volunteers working to change the world, one child and one community at a time. With the Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF has joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT), which causes 90,000 deaths each year. To eliminate MNT across the world by 2015, our organizations are raising $110 million to supply vaccines, syringes and thousands of skilled staff across the world.

         Where, When and How         

  • Date: November 4, 2012
  • Location: Geona Park located behind Cosi along the Scioto River
  • Time: 5K Run/Walk - 9:30am 
  • Course Map: Click HERE
  • Entry Fee: $30 pre-registered; $35 day of race
  • Awards: The top three male and female finishers and age-group winners will be rewarded. Prizes also given to the Best International Costumes. All participants wearing an international costume will receive a special gift.
  • We will be hosting a pre-race pasta dinner and early packet pick up at the Spaghetti Warehouse on Saturday November 3rd at 6:00 pm. The cost is $20. You can select the pasta dinner during the registration process.
  • Packet Pick-up: You can pick up your race packet beginning on Wedensday 10/31/2012 at Frontrunner Columbus on Lane Avenue.
