Event Information

RACE JUDICATA, a charity 5k run/walk for people and pets presented by the Student Bar Association, is a community service event that brings law students and members of the Columbus legal community together for a day of service. Cost of participation is $15 for pre-registration ($25 on race day): $5 goes toward the cost of the t-shirt and the remaining $10 will be donated to one of the following charities, as chosen by the runner:

  • Homeless Families Families Foundation: A Central Ohio organization providing shelter, support, stability, and nurturing for homeless children and their families as they prepare to acquire and maintain permanent housing.
  • Meals on Wheels: Meals-on-Wheels of Franklin and Madison Counties provides hot nutritious meals to elderly senior citizens and handicapped persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves.
  • Special Olympics: Special Olympics Ohio provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Entry Fee:

  • $15 pre-registered
  • $25 on the day of the race.

Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 3 participants overall and the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:

  • 18 & Under
  • 19-29
  • 30-49
  • 50 & Over

The team raising the most money for their charity will receive a plaque!

Directions

Fred Beekman Park is located at the corner of Lane Avenue and Kenny Road part of The Ohio State University west campus. Take 315 south to the Lane Ave. exit. Turn right off the exit then left at the next light which is Kenny Rd. The park is located on the right. Click here for a map of the site.
