Event Information

The Annual Hike for Nature is held by the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes each year to benefit the Center’s Jenny Goldman Fund, dedicated to providing education and experiences in nature to underserved urban youth in Cleveland.
Proceeds from all events will benefit The Jenny Fund, established in memory of Jenny Goldman. Jenny was a young naturalist dedicated to teaching children, especially disadvantaged inner-city youth, the joys of nature. Jenny died in a car accident in 2004. In her memory, The Jenny Fund underwrites the cost of Nature Center educators working with Glenville’s Michael R. White School and with John Hay High School’s enrichment programs.
