Event Information
Genoa Township and the Genoa Township Fire Department invite you to take part in the second annual Genoa Trail Running Festival on Friday May 2! The festival celebrates the opening of the Genoa Trail in 2007, a multipurpose trail located in Southern Delaware County.
All proceeds from the running festival go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)! |

Registration & Packet Pick Up
Pre-race packet pick up will be available at Fleet Feet Sports located at 1174 E. Powell Rd. Lewis Center, OH 43035 begining Tuesday April 29th at NOON through Friday May 2nd at NOON.
Race day packet pick-up and registration will be held on race day (May 2nd) beginning at 5:30PM at McNamara Park with the 5K run/walk to begin at 7:00pm.
McNamara Park is located at the corner of State Rte. 3 and Big Walnut Road, behind (north of) the Genoa Police, Fire and Service Complex. The entrance is accessed off of Big Walnut Road.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the:
Top 3 overall male and female finishers
Top 3 finishers in each of the following categories:
- 19 & Under
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70 & Over
Kid's Fun Run
Genoa Firefighters will dress in their turnout gear to race the kids in a 1K Fun Run for kids of all ages! The $5.00 entry fee will serve as a direct donation to MDA!
Entry Fee
- Before April 25th - $20 (includes event t-shirt* and post race refreshments)
- April 25th through race day - $25 (includes event t-shirt* and post race refreshments)
*Event shirts can only be guaranteed to pre-registered participants.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
Since its founding in 1950, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has become one of the nation’s largest and best-known voluntary health agencies. MDA provides comprehensive medical services to tens of thousands of people with neuromuscular diseases at some 225 hospital-affiliated clinics across the country. The Association’s worldwide research program, which funds some 400 individual scientific investigations annually, represents the largest single effort to advance knowledge of neuromuscular diseases and to find cures and treatments for them.
