Event Information

Now in it's eighth year, the Christine Wilson Memorial 5K was established to remember Christine Wilson for the warm and caring child that she was and to do something positive in her name. Christine died, along with 4 other students in the tragic fire at OSU on April 13, 2003. All proceeds and additional contributions from this event will help support various children's causes in Central Ohio, including Nationwide Children's Hospital, the Child & Family Advocacy Center, the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation and the Childhood League of Columbus.  Christine's Foundation will also continue to provide support for other community endeavours involving children.  Christine loved children and helping others which will continue to be our primary mission.

In 2009 the Christine Wilson foundation donated $61,000 to various Children's focused charities in Central Ohio including the Child & Family Advocacy Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation.  Since 2004, the Christine Wilson Foundation has donated over $240,000 to benefit children in Central Ohio. Thank you for all of your support.

Registration and packet pick up

Again in 2010, the race location is Avery Rd Park - 7401 Avery Rd. Dublin, OH 43017. The Park is adjacent to the Dublin soccer fields, under the PAVILION (opposite end of the fields from the water tower) just North of St. Brigids.

Race packets including your shirt and bib number can be picked up in advance at the Columbus Running Company store at Perimeter Loop in Dublin (just down from Blockbuster) between July 23rd and July 30th during store hours. Packet pick up will close down at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 30th.

Race day registration and packet pick-up begin on race day (July 31) at 8:00am, scholarship presentation will start at 9:40am, and then the 5K starting at 10:00am.

Entry fee

$33 if registered on or before July 30, on race day, July 31, $35.  Kids 18 & Under - $20.

Event shirt included for the first 500 registrants.

Take I-270 to the St. Rt. 33 / 161 exit, on the northwest side of Columbus. Exit on 33 West. Take the first Exit, Avery / Muirfield. Turn right. Continue on Avery-Muirfield Dr. to Avery Rd. Turn left on Avery Rd. park is ahead on left side. Soccer fields & Run signups are about 1/2 mile past (North) of St. Brigids Church on the left side.
