Event Information

RACE JUDICATA, a charity 5k run and 1 mile walk for people and pets presented by the Student Bar Association, is a community service event that brings law students and members of the Columbus legal community together for a day of service. 

Cost of participation is $20. 

Proceeds from this year’s race will be donated to the Columbus Bar Foundation, a philanthropic organization supported by Central Ohio’s legal community. Through grants, the Foundation provides seed money and support for a variety of programs such as: 

• providing female and minority law students with scholarships
• assisting children and victims of domestic violence through the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence
• operating Lawyers for Justice, the Columbus Bar’s pro bono program
• supporting the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Children’s Hospital
• funding educational programs at central Ohio law schools; and others.

Entry Fee:

• $20 through race day.

Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 3 participants overall and the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:

• 18 & Under
• 19-29
• 30-49
• 50 & Over

Directions

Fred Beekman Park is located at the corner of Lane Avenue and Kenny Road part of The Ohio State University west campus. Take 315 south to the Lane Ave. exit. Turn right off the exit then left at the next light which is Kenny Rd. The park is located on the right. Click here for a map of the site.
