Freedom Run 5k and Kids' Fun Run

About the Freedom Run 5k:  Join us for Village Chapel UMC'c Freedom Run as we celebrate our nation's freedoms as well as work toward physical, emotional and spiritual freedom for all.  The proceeds of the 5K will benefit The Way Skatepark and International Justice Mission.  The Way Skatepark in Ashville, OH offers emotional and spiritual freedom to young people and their families in the Central Ohio area through an awesome skate ministry (thewayskatepark.org).  IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery and sexual exploitation.  IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments in 12 countries to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems. The Kids' Fun Run is a fun, friendly and free event where kids ages 3 - 11  participate in a number of races from 50 yards to 1/2 mile.  All kids will get a t-shirt and a medal, and free food will be available for the whole family.

Where & When & How

• Date: Saturday, July 3,  2010
• Location: Village Chapel United Methodist Church, 30 Circleville Ave., Ashville, OH 43103
• Time: 9:30am 5K start time, 10:30am Kids Fun Run start time
• Entry Fee: $20 through race day, July 3. The Kids Fun Run is a free event.
• Awards:
  • The top male and female finishers and age-group winners will be rewarded.

  • Race Day starting at 7:00am

• Race Packets
  • Packets will be picked up at the race.  All pre-registered participants will receive a technical t-shirt.  Race day registrations will receive shirts as available.
